    This low, deep-seated country house chair offers both comfort and classic elegance. It stands on turned mahogany front legs with matching arm supports, complimented by shorter rear legs all raised on castors, giving it a sturdy and well-balanced presence.

    Robert Strahan & Co. (1776–1969) was one of Dublin’s leading furniture makers, known for producing high-quality, well-crafted pieces throughout the 19th century. The firm supplied furniture to prominent Irish country houses, including Doneraile Court (Co. Cork) and Lisnavagh (Co. Carlow), and operated from several prestigious Dublin addresses such as St. Stephen’s Green and Henry Street.
