TERMS AND CONDITIONS is owned and operated by The Antiques Hound.  We are a small team offering a personal service and all orders are handled individually.  Please bear in mind that all the items sold by The Antiques Hound are original antique or vintage pieces and are described as such in the product specification.  As a result, there will be some natural wear and signs of ageing which add to the appeal of the product – we like to think of our items as ‘perfectly imperfect’.  


By selecting items from The Antiques Hound, you are not buying mass-produced replicas (which have been made to look old); but genuine antique and vintage pieces.  We try to describe each item as accurately as possible alongside the dimensions and a selection of photography. All products may be subject to small variations in colour and size from the images on the website.  We make every effort to display as accurately as possible the product colours, but regret that we are unable to guarantee the true colour reproduction because browsers, screens and printers do vary in colour output.  If in any doubt, please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to ordering.

The items sold by The Antiques Hound are antique or vintage.  Where known, we will provide as much information as possible on the specific piece, e.g. era, manufacturer, provenance. 

The Antiques Hound adds value by sourcing genuinely unique items and where relevant, sympathetically restoring them so that they can be re-loved by you. Please note that even with careful restoration, our items are not new so they will have signs of wear and ageing.  Where possible we prefer to leave pieces untouched.

The Antiques Hound will show clear and detailed photographs of each item, along with the description and price. If you would like any additional photos or have any questions prior to purchase, please contact us at

Approximate dimensions are supplied for all items.  If you need the exact dimensions – especially for larger pieces of furniture, please just contact us and we will provide more information.

Prior to purchase, please ensure that your desired piece of furniture will fit into your home. Unfortunately, items cannot be returned because they are the wrong size or do not fit.

All prices shown on the website are in pounds sterling (£), include VAT.  Please see section 5 for details on our delivery costs which are calculated at check-out.

Our shop enables you to purchase securely online by debit or credit card.  When you place an order via our website, payment is processed via Wix Payments which allows us to accept payment via all major credit cards. Please note that Adyen is the Wix Payment processor and this may show up on your bank statement, depending on which card provider you use.

We are also happy to issue a Trade Invoice for payment via BACS if this is your preferred payment method. All payments details are encrypted and secured by using either Wix Adyen or a direct BACS transfer.  Consequently none of your card details are held by The Antiques Hound or on our website.

A delivery charge is provided at check-out for each item (or group of items) to be despatched within England and Wales.  An express and two man delivery service is available, as is delivery to Scotland and Islands; please contact us for prices. Once an order has been placed The Antiques Hound will contact you to arrange delivery. Please see the Delivery section for full details.


We offer a 14-day refund policy.  If you return an item, the item must be returned to The Antiques Hound in its original packaging and original condition. Unfortunately, we cannot cover courier or postage costs for returns. Please see the Delivery section for full details.
