Unknown provenance. Striking oil on board presented in the original frame.  "Portrait de Femme" (Portrait of a Woman) signed by the artist. André Lhote (1885-1962) after Alexej von Jawlensky (1864-1941). This painting is in a fauvist style, characterised by a saturated colour palette. Lhote was known for his seated portraits which added an intimacy to the scene.
