Arts and Crafts Walnut Open Armchair. An upholstered quality early 20th Century open armchair, perfect for cosy fireside lounging. Dated Arts and Crafts c. 1900.
Arts and Crafts Walnut Open Armchair
Excellent example of Arts and Crafts furniture, with a beautifully turned walnut frame and fixed upholstered seat. The fabric is in the style of William Morris and very much in keeping with the original Arts and Crafts period with tones of red, blue and green against the natural ground.
Overall this antique chair is well presented - given its 100+ years, wear is commensurate with age and use. The chair is solid of joint and the upholstery is in a good clean condition. There are signs of historic woodworm to the front left leg - this has been re-treated for good measure and does not affect structure or use.
This lovely arts and crafts period open armchair would look fabulous fireside or in a kitchen or as a welcoming hall chair.
Delivered cleaned, lightly polished and ready to place in the home.
