Arts & Crafts English stained glass firescreen, circa 1900, with jewel-toned glass and strong geometric form.
Arts & Crafts English Stained Glass Firescreen on Iron Stand
A striking English Arts & Crafts period stained glass firescreen of elegant geometric design, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The panel features richly coloured hand-cut stained glass in jewel tones of ruby red, turquoise, amber, green and mauve, arranged in a beautifully balanced symmetrical pattern with a central lozenge motif. The textured glass catches the light wonderfully, making this an exceptionally decorative interior piece whether positioned before a fireplace or displayed in a window setting.
The stained glass panel is housed within its original metal frame and raised on a decorative wrought iron stand with scroll carrying handle to the top.
An excellent example of Arts & Crafts craftsmanship with strong architectural presence and vibrant colour.
