P.E Gane Ltd (1909-1954) were cabinet makers associated with producing high quality Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau furniture. Unfortunately the company's Bristol premises were destroyed during WW2 and they were forced to close following the war.
This is a stunning corner chair with beautiful detailing from the shaped back rest with scroll ends to the fine sunburst design with satinwood inlay and the elegant tapering legs. Upholstery in a good clean condition - horsehair padding and later updated webbing to underside. A fine antique, all in excellent condition.
