Late Edwardian two tier occasional table on barley twist supports. Compact and very useful. Dated c. 1920-1940.
Edwardian Oak Two Tier Side Table raised on barley twist supports
Beautifully compact and useful. This solid oak side table has an oval shape with a beveled edge which sits above a simple apron. The table is supported by beautifully crafted, hand turned barley twist legs which are joined by a second tier which acts as a useful shelf. All raised on simple hand turned feet.
The wood has a well figured grain which has been protected by the lacquered finish. There are a few surface wear marks, but nothing significant. Wear is commensurate with age. Solid of joint with no wobbles.
This super occasional table would be perfect in so many places around the home ... as a bedside table, next to a desk or sofa, in the cloakroom or hallway ... so much scope.
