DG Fischel & Son was established in Neimes, Czechoslovakia when the original bentwood furniture patent registered by Michael Thonet expired in 1871. This piece was most likely made between 1890 and 1920 - the Fischel makers label is still present on the underside.
This elegant table is of simple construction with a shaped under tier and the splayed bentwood legs synonymous with both Thonet and Fischel.
In a good antique condition - some surface wear to the table top and legs commensurate with age and use. Delivered ready to place in the home lightly waxed and polished.
