Fine quality Georgian mahogany corner chair, having upstand to top rail and supported by fretted splats and turned uprights. Dated c. 1800.
Georgian Mahogany Corner Chair
This very good quality Georgian mahogany corner chair is in an excellent antique condition. Made from solid mahogany, which has aged beautifully; it has a horse-shoe shaped back with broad arm rests, central back rest, pierced splats and solid square legs.
There are a few knocks to the legs and surface wear commensurate with age and use as you would expect with a piece of this age (see photos); but nothing which affects the overall appearance and testament to the craftsmanship of this lovely chair. The fretted splats are in perfect condition.
The upholstery is in an excellent clean condition too, but it would be easy to replace as the seat simply pops out (see images).
A fabulous Georgian piece of furniture in excellent antique condition; delivered polished and ready for the home.
