A super condition Georgian mahogany corner washstand with a pretty shaped gallery and wavy edged apron. Perfect Georgian proportions make this a desirable period piece of furniture. Dated c. 1800.
Georgian Mahogany Corner Wash Stand
A handsome Georgian mahogany bow fronted corner washstand. Having an attractive shaped upstand the original top (which would have had a hole to support the wash basin) has been replaced with a matching period piece of mahogany.
With two useful tiers, this corner table is fitted with a single centre drawer flanked by decorative dummy drawers and is raised straight square legs typical of the Georgian period.
Overall in a good antique condition - wear is commensurate with age and use. Two of the brass knobs on the drawers have been replaced at some time - these could be changed so all 4 match.
This Georgian period antique would make a lovely bedside or bathroom table, a corner lamp table or an attractive hall plant stand.
Delivered lightly cleaned, polished and ready to place in the home.
