A single antique oak carver chair with a cane seat presented in a wonderful condition. The oak is a beautiful rich colour with a lovely patina from years of use. A really lovely feature of this chair is the hand-painted decoration to the back rest, which has aged over time but this simply adds to the charm and history of the piece.
Superb craftsmanship is displayed in the elegant bobbin turned back supports with a hand-painted roundel, curved arms and turned front legs and front stretcher.
The chair is in a good antique condition with no historic repairs - it stands solid of joint and with no wobbles and is fit for purpose.
