Mid-Century Weathered Stone Garden Statue
A composite stone statue of a semi-nude seated lady, from the mid 20th century. This wonderful garden ornament has a lovely weathered patina, retains good definition and form, is structurally sound and in good order.
Being reconstituted stone, this lovely lady has been outside for some time and has aged beautifully - with gorgeous lichen and mottling adding character from the natural weathering.
Wear is commensurate with age and the outdoor garden location; but the statue itself is in an excellent condition with no significant damage or cracks.
Nothing beats a nicely weathered piece, they fit straight into an established garden or create an interesting contrast to a new space. These statues really do look better with age and this lady is no exception - a real beauty!
An elegant addition to the garden.
