Regency Giltwood and Cane Seated Occasional Chair

  • A beautiful old side chair from the early 1800s, sourced from a private collection within a residence on the Royal Crescent in Bath.

With a cane seat and back panel, retaining the original gilt over gesso finish with skilfully carved detail to the wood frame, and sabre legs to the front; this would make a wonderful bedroom chair.

Showing wear to the gilt finish, to be expected given this chair's age; it retains great elegance and character.  Solid and no wobbles to the frame.

Delivered lightly cleaned and ready to place in the home.
