"Trees by the River" by EDWARD RYFF
This is a lovely impressionist landscape with trees lining a riverbank and an atmospheric cloud-filled sky.
Exhibiting deft brushstrokes and a wonderful depiction of light.
Signed by the artist lower right.
BIO: Ryff (also spelt Rijff) was born in Holland in 1915. He was active in Amsterdam during the ’40s, then The Hague, and from 1963 onwards in Sweden.
This painting is in a very good condition. Presented in a vintage frame, structurally sound with signs of wear commensurate with age.
