19th Century Arts and Crafts antique curved occasional chair with a pretty Jacquard upholstery.  This superb chair is unusual in its design - a compact side chair with a curved wingback makes this very comfortable despite its size.  Possibly used as a nursing chair, this would now make a lovely bedroom or living room occasional chair. English antique, dated late 19th century c. 1890.

19th Century Arts and Crafts Occasional Chair

£250.00Price
  • This compact arts and crafts period antique side chair is just charming.  The curved upholstered back rest creates a cocooning effect but it doesn't feel small or tight - simply comfortable.  This would make a lovely and interesting chair for a sitting room, hall or bedroom.

All in an excellent antique condition.  The Jacquard tapestry style upholstery is in a very good, clean condition and the braiding is all good with no loose sections.  The solid mahogany wood frame is solid of joint and displays wonderful craftsmanship from the period.  There is some slight wear to the base of the frame from use - please see photos but these do not affect the appeal or use of this delightful chair.
