An elegant and exceptionally well-crafted Oriental-style nest of three circular hardwood nesting tables, dating from the mid-to-late 20th century.
Crafted from solid hardwood (Hongmu / Rosewood tone) with a rich, warm finish that highlights the natural figure and grain of the wood. Each table features a polished circular top set above traditional Ming-style carved aprons with decorative brackets. The three tables step down seamlessly in size, nesting completely beneath one another into a compact, space-saving single footprint.
With their sought-after circular barrel form, this is a highly versatile set - both practical and decorative. Used individually, they make excellent occasional or side tables, or could be positioned around a room to create a cohesive arrangement.
A particularly elegant and unusual set, with a wonderful combination of craftsmanship, decorative detailing and warm, richly coloured timber.
