A really attractive and versatile two tier corner étagère or Victorian shelving unit. The compact proportions of this table mean that it could also be placed next to an armchair or sofa as a useful side table. The two shelves have a curved leading edge and are supported by two barley twist columns, all sitting on three turned feet.
In a very good antique condition - wear is commensurate with age and use as you would expect from a genuine antique from the mid to late 19th century. Surface wear and a few chips to the finials add to the charm of this beautiful old piece. Solid of joint, no wobbles and suitable for use rather than being purely decorative. A really pretty addition to any home; showcasing the wood craftsmanship of the Victorian era.
